Internal Webbing for Increased Strength
In comparison to many other industry-standard hollow pilings, the EcoPile contains an internal hexagram truss system to significantly increase the pilings’ strength and rigidity. The intertwining webbing of the internal triangles work together to create a stronger and more sturdy piling. Plus, the hollow spaces between the triangles allow for the option to run wiring or plumbing through the internal of the EcoPile vinyl pilings.
Grooved Retention Rings to Reduce Settling
To reduce settling and to ensure the piling is properly secured in place long after installation, the bottom segment of the EcoPile is threaded so that sand can freely grip the piling. Furthermore, these threaded grooves ensure the EcoPile locks into the ground for extra resistance and prevent it from being pulled during severe weather storms.
PVC & Fiberglass Composite for Increased Weather Resistance
To create weather resistance, chopped fiberglass is added to the rigid PVC during the manufacturing process. The fiberglass additives make the EcoPile stronger, enhances its impact resistance, and creates an outer layer that is UV/IR resistant. This added outer layer also assists in keeping the Ecopile vinyl piling cool to the touch during sunny days.
